We pulled it off thanks to the last-minute brainstorm of one awesome exec-producer (Trish Ragsdale) and the genius of the staff (Lisa Morgan and Erica Beiler). We only had the weekend to throw it all together, but I think it came out pretty good! I frayed the nerves of my PR girl Jackie along the way, but all’s well that ends well, right? The week reminded me of just how much Atlanta has become as a top-tier wedding town. We were able to book nationally known guests like the legendary bridal designer Anne Barge, discover hidden new talent like the incredibly gifted floral artist Anik Kueller, and re-connect with catering “star-in-waiting” Patty Roth Rogers. Let me also mention Mark Brickman from Baker’s Man Inc. He’s an incredible cake maker stuck in the north ‘burbs of Atlanta. I would stack this guy up against the Ace of Cakes (Duff Goldman from Food Network fame). Better product, less ego. We also pulled out the venerable groom Johnny B. for another installment of the “2-Minute Groom.” We were down a couple Groom Studio guys, though Dana Dean and AK-47 (Adam Klein) handled the groom with stylistic perfection.
